The other problem is the configuration complexity, you can basically choose: 1. To make the plugin very flexible and complex to configure and make the advanced users happy 2. To make the plugin hardcoded and simple to configure and make the non advanced users happy. Personally I prefer option 1 for third party plugins, and option 2 for core SlimServer functionality, but the result is that the non advanced users will have a hard time to use some third party plugins. Just so no one misunderstand me, I have nothing against including better support for classical music in SlimServer. No one will be happier than me if it even turns out to be so good so my plugins no longer are needed, this would mean that I can use the time for other things than maintaining old code.
