hi catbus! yeah - i've thought about that. but embedding artwork has IMHO many advantages regarding portability and convenience. and if i estimate artwork to be ~10-20 KB * 3 * 12 tracks = +720 KB per album. my albums have an average size of ~120 MB, so artwork would make up ~0.5%. i can live with that. ;-)
