Wow - lots of really good suggestions. It looks like I'll be going through my library with MP3Tag and a browser window open to both Wikipedia and Allmusic.
I suppose if I paid for the Allmusic add-on with dbPoweramp, I'd have the date right in the first place, instead of using Amazon... Mostly though I've used EAC for ripping, and its getting its info from freedb. I guess I'm just not organized enough to validate the tags as I'm ripping, as I'm still trying to digitize my collection, and plowing ahead as quickly as possible. Better to have the music and fiddle with tags afterwards... At least that way I'll have something to do in my old age - 'cause it'll take that long to fix all the tags :-) I think for now I'll focus on all the new release stuff, and worry about Greatest Hits and compilation cds afterwards, as that would be a lot more time consuming since they vary by song...
