i use EAC and newer lame bins will put a RG value in the lame header,
but virtually nothing uses that.

i would not use EAC to create RG tags.  rather, i use winamp to do so,
and it does both track and album tags.

RG tags are perfect, b/c they do not change the data in file at all,
they only change how the player uses it at the moment its being used.
