I shouldn't have to modify my library tags to accommodate the SC server.
There should be an option in the settings of the SC server to prevent
the (Disc x of x) from being displayed. My music library is not being
used "exclusively" with the SC server. I transcode my FLAC library into
MP3s to be played in four "different" portable player which support
different subsets of tags. Actually one of the players that my wife
uses has issues with tags and so is set to navigate via folders. I
mostly use my FLAC library with SC, but once in a while I also use it
to test other music servers.

All my multiple CDs Albums are stored in separated folders as sometimes
I prefer the tracks on one of the CDs and not the other(s). (Bonus CDs
anyone?) This makes it easy to transcode as I only select one folder
for conversion in dBpowerAmp. If multiple album CDs are merged in one
folder its' a PITA to select track by track to convert the tracks you
like. This task is made more difficult if you have World and Classical
music albums made up of multiple CDs. I tagged all my albums and tracks
using their native language. It is easy for me to recognize the Album
art, Album Artist, Album name, but sometimes I don't know or can
recognize the name of the track I want to transcode/play. I don't speak
most of these languages. So, I decided to store my Albums in folders
using CDx as part of the folder (Album Name), but only for Albums that
are made up of multiple CDs.

I use the following folder scheme. (--> Subfolder)

Artist Name

-->Album Name1 - CD1
-->Album Name1 - CD2
-->Album Name1 - CD3
-->Album Name2
-->Album Name3
-->Album Name4 - CD1
-->Album Name4 - CD2

The issue is that the SC Server UI and my SB3 displays the
corresponding album names like this:

Album Name1 - CD1 (Disc 1 of 3)
Album Name1 - CD2 (Disc 2 of 3)
Album Name1 - CD3 (Disc 3 of 3)
Album Name2
Album Name3
Album Name4 - CD1 (Disc 1 of 2)
Album Name4 - CD2 (Disc 2 of 2)
