OK - I apologize for another "help me" thread regarding tags. This seems to be a big problem with Squeezecenter that is not common to other music management software. Please! someone smarter than me FIX THIS. I also use Foobar with my music collection and it works perfectly without any need for interference. Windows Mediacenter also works perfectly. Even iTunes works perfectly. If I could bail on Squeezecenter, believe me, I would.
Background: Pre-Squeezebox, I used exclusively my Creative Zen Xtra mp3 player, which I upgraded to 160GB. I ripped all my music using Windows Media Player into WMA VBR and more recently CBR. Reason? The mp3 player is only compatible with WMA and MP3. Problem: Several CDs have only 4 of 10 tracks listed on Squeezecenter. If I do a search for the missing tracks, they are not to be found. I have rescanned more times than I can remember. This problem occurs with single artists i.e. not from multi-artist collection albums. I tried MP3tag and to me they seem to be tagged correctly. I have not messed with the Squeezecenter settings. Some of you will tell me to start over and rip with some great program like dbpoweramp - thank you in advance. I actually would be more interested in solution that would not require me to re-rip my collection. Sincere advance thanks for some help on this problem. I will name my 4th born after you (too late for first-born). -- bdrew ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bdrew's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21501 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=55674 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
