Its unlikely that you will need to re-rip.

But you will find that "tags" is a four letter word. Most of the threads
on this section of the forum are about how to make tags better, fix
them, make them work for different styles of music, etc.

Sadly, all tags are from ideas of ID3 tags from the days of the first
rip programs, napster and other joys of 1998. Most of the folks who
cared about this stuff back then were young, and listened to pop/rock.
Ever since then, more folks get into the topic and find problems.
Sometimes big problems.

Folks who listen to jazz or classical find out how badly most of the
tools handle complex music. So take it easy, let the full rescan work,
and we can figure out what is wrong.

Some folks are happy with MP3 files everywhere, but others keep two
libraries, one MP3 for portable players and one in lossless (typically
flac) for serious listening. But you may want to get a bit farther along
before worrying about that.
