You don't say what you didn't like about dbpoweramp, which a lot of people recommend for this. A couple other possibilities are foobar2000 and Robin Bowes' perl script flac2mp3.pl. Do a search on this forum for flac2mp3.pl and you'll find it. It does exactly what you're looking for, except that last time I checked it doesn't do anything with album art.
