Played around a bit more just before using metaflac and found a DISC and DISCNUMBER tag lurking in my Ministry Of Sound tracks. Doh, there was a difference. So, I added a DISCNUMBER=1 tag to each track on the 10 Things album and amazingly, Squeeze now correctly shows just *ONE *album in the Album list "10 Things I Hate About You" with all 3 tracks correctly displayed under that Album. Artist view is also fine. I can have it Grouped for Compilations or not. Good. I think this has come from me encoding with dbPowerAmp before the latest version that has Disc tag entry in the front-end of the application? Therefore these tags would have been missing from tracks encoded with lib v1.1.2 (via old version of dbPowerAmp, however not from lib v1.2.1 (used with new version of dbPowerAmp). So I was almost on the correct path but not quite. And this saves me re-encoding all my FLAC compilations. Squeeze now works for me, however it would be nice to know how Squeeze does it file handling and database sorting for this kind of thing. If someone had said 'hey make sure you have a DISCNUMBER tag set for compilation albums, then superb. Hope others find this useful. Any thoughts on this radish? I was going to send you the metadata but no real need now?
