Before installing something else I'd try EAC in burst mode and fast mode, rather than secure mode, which has worked for me on some that were unplayable on cd players. The cd player would get stuck on a skipping loop, whereas EAC read them but there is audible noise. The funny thing is, the noise doesn't bother me- every time that track comes on it reminds me of how much I don't miss playing discs(!), and luckily kind of compliments the track as well.
On copy protection, I believe if you start the EAC app before loading a CD it keeps the disc from auto-running automatically (rather than having to hold shift while inserting the disc). -- Skunk http://www.last.fm/user/TheSkunk/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Skunk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2685 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=58709 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
