Yes, clear and rescan fixes it and it reappears later. The MP3s are actually part of an old library I am slowly transferring and listening to as I progress, so they are already ripped. I then add them to a WMP-watched folder, look up and update the matadata and make sure that it's all saved. The rescan then runs at some point at night.
As I said above, the album art is actually there in the page with the album track listing and the individual tracks in the playlist, so SC is picking up the WMP art.
