yeah, but the timing is important. u could rip some stuff, have the art there, NOT do ANY scan, and when you navigate to the specific album, the art WILL show up in SC just by navigating to it, (via browse folders).
i can't explain how the art disappears after a clear and full rescan... i would try holding shift or ctrl and refresh in IE8. also, check your tags with mp3tag, WMP makes mistakes often, (don't just use WMP to review your tags). i have never had this issue...
