EAC has nothing to do with any icon on a Flac file. As EAC isn't a
player, there is no point in it associating itself with Flac files (or
any other files) in Windows. This is all down to whatever player you
have installed on your PC that has associated itself with Flac files.

For example, on my Desktop PC, Flac files are accociated with VLC, so
the icon is a orange and white striped traffic cone (no, I don't know
why the developers chose that icon for VLC). On my laptop which I'm
using just now, nothing is accociated with Flacs, so Windows doesn't
give it a specific icon, just the standard white piece of paper icon.

So, when you double clicked a Flac on your old PC, what app did they
open in? Install that app again and you should get your icons back.
Unless there was some other little piece of setup that your friend did
to your old PC. For example, you can manually change the icon that is
displayed for *any* type of file, I could make word documets display a
scull and cross bones If i really wanted to.
