There's the one _very_ important point that you're overlooking: SqueezeCenter can easily transcode from a lossless format to a less-bandwidth intensive lossy one. So, if you continue to have wireless problems and breakups when streaming FLAC, you can transcode to MP3 simply changing the player settings.
