So, just a final report on the various errors and warning, now all
cleaned up.

First, installing and testing the PERL transcoder took me (who knew
nothing about PERL etc etc....) about 1/2 an hour, and was pretty easy.

Second, setting up and running the full transcoder of 300gb of FLAC,
well over 12000 individual tracks, took about 36 hours, during which I
gave it about 2 hours of my attention.

Sorting out the relatively few errors etc probably took another couple
of hours.

Pretty amazing really - and I'm very grateful. Re-running the
transcoder to update tags and add any new audio material is a doddle,
and can be done (for me) once a month and will take, in the background,
perhaps a hour or so.

Here's the (non-technical) resolution of the problems (which consisted
of about half of one percent of my total):

The above seemed to make no difference in playing either Flac or
transcoded MP3 - so I've ignored it.

Straightforward Flac re-rip for the above, and then a forced
re-transcode. All is now well.

Likewise for the above - a re-rip.
