Hi SuperQ I've been trying for at least a week to get the on-the-fly conversion working again, the only thing that comes close is mp4->flac but I get constant buffering (see thread http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=69113).
I don't have enough disk space to convert to flac permanently so that's why I was going down the mp3 via lame route. I could do it in iTunes, but that would mean a lot of time sitting at my PC. I was hoping to just write a script on the Linkstation using lame but at 3 hours per track, that's no good either.
