i think you are right... in my settings i had that set to: treat multi disc sets as multiple albums and chances are that setting uses the Disc tag info to decide that. (and presumably it would have different album tag info anyway) i'm talking about files in the same folder that share the same album tag info (and actually come from the same CD). if the only difference between them is X amt have Disc=1/1 and Y amt have Disc=(blank) then to me, the sensible thing to do is assume they are part of 1/1 group, precisely b/c they are in the same folder and have the same album tag info.
