Wow, I had not heard that at all... AFAIK, Apple Lossless IS lossless. If anyone has a link to a site or article showing this is wrong, please pass it along. I would rather not start again re-ripping all of my CDs, but if my known "good" source is not truly lossless, start over again I shall! Need to now figure out how I can get Perl Audio Converter moved over and working on Vortexbox.
