EAC is showing heavily reduced file size after ripping with EAC and with flac set to minimum compression (I don't need compression). An 8 minute 21 second track is 84.24Mb is indicated as 19.56Mb compressed. The disc was spotless;
Th external compression page in the EAC setting, and in particular the "additional command line options" seem to have many potential variables for which I have not found a concise and informative description. I am thus wondering if it is here where I have messed thing up. I believe the options above "additional command line options" are fine: I have "external defined encoder" and .flac along with the file location of flac (C:\Program Files\Exact Audio Copy\Flac\flac.exe) although not file at this location is called flac.exe but I have a 256kb file in the flac folder which is call "flac" so perhaps this is it. If there is stuff I need to do to sort it out I would greatly appreciate this advice. -- Mark Scanlan MarkS ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mark Scanlan's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10365 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=76217 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
