i use winamp to do RG for that reason, don't use -V either, and i
checked the flacs with mp3tag as soon as i made them to be sure i wasn't
sticking id3 tags in them, (i wasn't, so it seems unchecking id3 tag on
the compression options dialog is the only place you need to do it)  i
also then used mp3tag to add albumartist/band tags that shared the same
value.

the only drawback for me of ripping to flac with EAC, is that WMP won't
put the art in the rip folder.  it does with mp3.  its curious b/c WMP
can play flac, but even when i set it to monitor only the rip folder,
and add only missing info (tags, art), it just isn't going to do it for
flac, or so it seems.  i'll keep trying but i doubt it'll work.  winamp
can get someof the art, but is really weak compared to WMP in acquiring
art.
