Yeah, but I figure I only do it once per album, so... I generally go to Amazon, look at most of the available covers and download any that may be candidates to use. I almost always do a lookup on Google Images too and grab something there, usually those with larger dimensions and higher byte counts, or those that stand out in the thumbnails shown. I usually end up with two or three, maybe up to seven candidates. I then view them in sequence in my image editor and select the best one, resize it to 298x298, put a one pixel black border around it and save as cover.jpg. I may also tweak the color, contrast or brightness a little to make an image look better. If I can't make up my mind between a couple of the originals then I'll resize them both to 300x300 and compare them side by side. For older and out of print CDs where there may not be anything satisfactory out on the internet, I break out the scanner. +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: cover00202.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=9493| +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ -- JJZolx Jim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51253 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
