Not familiar with this software. I suggest software that sets *both* the
track gain and album gain tags on the mp3 or flac file you are using.

Track gain can be used by SqueezeBoxes when playing songs with other
songs from different albums, for example a random or other playlist.
Album gain is the average track gain for all songs in an album and can
be used by SqueezeBoxes to play all songs in an album volume adjusted
but preserves the relative volumes between tracks from the album.

foobar2000 sets both these tags, quickly, and is free.  Option is
something like "set replaygain by album tags".

The other advice is to make sure whatever you do that you preferably
just adjust tags and not the actual audio content of the files.
