Wow of topic already in the second post I'm impressed :) I slip back on topic .
I did my first ripps of my cd's in mp3 a non lossles format *Doh!* I had to redo 1000 CD's again.. I did not care for cover art -doh!- I did not realize that mixed tag formats could be a potential problem later. (It is not a problem if the tag content is the same) I though "the more the merrier" saving the tag in a bunch of different forms would make it more compatible with a lot of music applications *doh!* I later discovered mp3tag and I could fix it if it where a problem. It seems that some tag editors default to save tags in all kinds of formats But i dodged some of them: I never used iTunes or windows media player for ripping. I chose FLAC as my lossles format when i realized what it was and have not looked at another lossles format. -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J and assorted amps SiriuS, Classe'Primare and Dynadio speakers (including a pair of Contour 4 ) Bedroom/Office: Boom Kitchen: SB3 + powered Fostex PM0.4 Miscellaneous use: Radio (with battery) I use a Controller various ir-remotes and a Eee-PC with squeezeplay to control this ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=78840 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
