I am currently running Squeezebox server on a WinXP server. I have just ordered my first iMac, and would like to migrate everything to it.
All of my files are in WMA lossless format - and I'd like to keep it that way. I currently use Windows Media Player to rip my CDs into WMA lossless (I like WMP as it does a very good job of finding song titles and album art versus other products I've tried), Poikosoft Easy CD-DA Extractor to convert them from WMA lossless to lossy MP3s (for my iPod), and Softpointer Tag&Rename for any tag cleanup I need to do. What are the best Mac-equivalent tools to accomplish all of the above, assuming I want to continue to rip my files into WMA lossless format? I've thought about installing Parallels and WinXP or Win 7 on the Mac to run all of these tools directly on the Mac, but I'm not keen on spending $150 on a copy of Windows if I can avoid it - and in the long run, it's probably better to go "native" for all my ripping/taging needs so I might as well do it now. -- Jon ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jon's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2848 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79397 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
