here is what he said:

to order albums from the same artist by year could mean either way i
suppose, ie. artist, year, album, or year, artist, album... it depends
on how one interprets what he wrote.

he'll need to be more specific. i didn't see what you are saying he
could mean until you said it.

he should easily be able to sort the home>albums list as A to Z,
right?

sure, but easier to find via artist names, and he should be able to do
either of those sorts via home>albums too, he just has to pick the sort
method.

and he could pick that sort method too.

so pick the sort method you want then.

i don't understand the controversy here? i mean, i've said for a long
time picking home>whatever is dopey, but it is what it is, and you
gotta pick one sort method at a time, so you just gotta make do.

so pick sort by A to Z album names.

or remember how you tagged it. easy for me, i have AA as:

Led Zeppelin (Page & Plant)

b/c thats where i want it to sort, right by the normal led zep stuff.

until home>artists does artwork, i will prob never use it. but even if
it did, i have never wanted home>albums to be A-Z by album name. i just
don't like that sort. np, if others do, but i don't.

i do want my subset <artist> listing to be year, album, and for me in
home>albums it is that way.

if i wanted to browse by years for ALL albums, i'd either change my
sort in home>albums, or do home>years, although i never have done that
and i don't have SBS in front of me to even see if home>years is an
option.
