All of this is why I (almost) never use any of the browse menus! :-) If I want to listen to Dark Side of the Moon, I will type "dark" into the search field, whereupon it appears as item 3 of a list of 3 - all in less than a second... so, 1 second, 1 subsequent click, no guesswork and the album is playing.
Or I could search for "pink"... where Pink Floyd appear as item 6 of 6 in my case, again in less that a second. Why would you ever browse if you know what you want to play? Surely "browse" is mainly for when you DON'T know what to play? Aside from random play and dynamic playlists, the main ergonomic benefit to me of the whole server-based music approach is the ability to search (by artist, song title, album title, year or lyric). Each to their own, I guess. -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...
