Keep in mind that with Squeezebox Server, if you're tagging all files
with their correct DISCNUMBER then this is unnecessary. Tracks for an
album will always be sorted by DISCNUMBER/TRACKNUMBER. Only if you
don't add DISCNUMBER to multi-disc sets does it becomes necessary for
correct track ordering.

Unfortunately, this can lead to some ugliness in Squeezebox Server if
you use a TITLEFORMAT that includes the disc number. For instance, if
your TITLEFORMAT were

DISC-TRACKNUM. TITLE (DURATION)

then a track listing for a single disc set will be displayed (for
example):

1-1. Grantstand (9:09)
1-2. My Funny Valentine (9:08)
1-3. Blues In Maude's Flat (15:04)
1-4. Old Folks (4:12)
1-5. Green's Greenery (5:11)

I would never allow any software to alter tagging without doing so
explicitly with your knowledge. Set all files to read-only if you have
to.

I've never done this, so I know REPLAYGAIN_ALBUM_GAIN it isn't used in
determining multi-disc sets in SBS.

I suppose its a matter of personal preference whether album gain should
be across all discs in a multi-disc set. I've considered doing it
myself, but I don't think it can be automated in Mp3tag, since when
working on a particular file, it doesn't see tag values from other
files. If I decide to do it, I'd probably create a VBScript to use
Metaflac and find the max album values and apply them to all files on
the album.

I actually do very little in Mp3Tag for multi-disc sets other than to
manually set DISCNUMBER and TOTALDISCS (which isn't used by SBS) in a
couple of custom fields in the Tag Panel, plus make sure that the same
album name is applied to all files in the album.
