You are working too hard.  You can de-dup in one of two ways:

1- metadata base
2- acoustic fingerprinting

With the right tool, you don't need to move files or folders.  The
problem with (1) is that you need identical tags in the various formats
(since typically de-duping this way is based on string comparisons -
fuzzy de-duping is possible, but there can be false positives).

garym suggests using mp3tag, but if you have to rename files to do this,
that's too much work when you can just use a smartlist with built-in
duplicate detection.  JRiver MediaCenter has this (and that's one reason
I suggested it).  You download it, import your files (which imports only
the tags), and create a smartlist based on the properties you want to
use for dup detection.  Further filter the smartlist to show only the
dups you want to remove, select all and Delete.

If (1) isn't meeting your needs, then you can move onto (2).  There's
the tool I wrote, and there are others such as Jaikoz.
