How would you like to assign ratings ?
Do you want to go through albums in alphabetical order and set the same
rating on all tracks of the album or do you want to go through each
individual track and set the rating ?
Just asking because I want to understand how people want to go through
their library and rate their tracks.
There are two ways to assign ratings via tags:
- By setting a custom RATING tag which standard LMS scanner will pick up
during scanning and TrackStat will refresh its database and use scanned
RATING tag values if there isn't a rating for the track in TrackStat
already. The RATING tag needs to have a value between 1-100.
- By using the Rating Tag scanning module in Custom Scan plugin which
supports POPM (for MP3) and WM/SharedUserRating (for WMA) and RATING tag
(for FLAC). Just note that the Rating Tag scanning module will overwrite
TrackStat ratings with the rating you have set in the tag, so if you
already have rated tracks with TrackStat which you don't want to lose
this might not be the best solution.
