I think I am presently using the former method of scanning in two ways.
One, automatically scanning music as it is played (I presume that
information goes to the trackstat db and Two Going through my Library in
the web interface and assigning Trackstat values to individual albums
and sometimes tracks. The first method will assign stats to only songs I
think to play and the latter method is laborious and very time
consuming. I guess what I was hoping is that there was software that
will work under Linux or WINE that would allow me to bring up all my
albums , by directory and systematically I could assign trackstat values
by album or song as I have been but more quickly. The only tagging
software I have tried so far (under WINE) is tagscanner and there is no
tag field for trackstat and I see no way to create one.
