I hope someone can help. It appears that all of my music has been moved out of Album/Artist folders, to separate files... even though that information remains in the ID tags. . Logitech Media Server list every track separately by Album I can't browse through an Album without going to each listing of that Album to see what track that Album listing refers to, Even though the tags contain the correct Artist and Album names.
Many are categorized as "Various Artist" even though the Artist and Album tags are correct. There seems to be a disconnect between Albums and Artist. I have to go through each listing of an Album (one for every track) to see which track is behind that particular Album listing. I must admit that I know precious little about tagging protocols and directory structures. Do I have to start re-ripping all of my music again to sort everything out or is there a simpler solution that I am unaware of. I just can't see myself re-tagging each track manually, creating folders and moving the files. Thanks again for reading the rantings of a novice!
