However, I haven't seen .nfo files in conjunction with audio (well, maybe once in a blue moon). And I wouldn't bother creating these tags for audio. I've yet to encounter an audio player which (i) fails to read tag formats like ID3v2.3 or VorbisComment but (ii) is capable of handling .nfo files for audio...
