One can hope. In fact, this would be the very first whisper I've heard of X being retired. Even QNX supports X, though not by default. I've a very hard time believing X is even close to waning. OTOH, I wouldn't be too surprised to see X12. Whether it would last some 25 years as has X11 is mere speculation. > X11 is older than Linux itself; X11 is circa 1987 I believe, with ( obviously ) 10 versions previous. I can remember the first time I saw X. I swore it was the same Alto environment I'd seen at PARC, and later on LISA. It was a long time ago. -- Cowboy http://cowboy.cwf1.com We will have solar energy as soon as the utility companies solve one technical problem -- how to run a sunbeam through a meter. _______________________________________________ Rivendell-dev mailing list Rivendell-dev@lists.rivendellaudio.org http://caspian.paravelsystems.com/mailman/listinfo/rivendell-dev
