Thanks Cowboy &Gavin. Although I am familiar with unc connections, I
almost never use them. I usually just "browse" the network to locate my
resource, so I brain-farted and never even tried to connect to Rivendell
via unc.
It worked PERFECTLY!

I'm not a great either of how Windows shares the main drive by default

\\IP.of.any.machine\
should find that machine, as long as it has a windows name daemon
running.
