I've encountered these guys before. The impression I have is they're generally a bunch of arrogant and clue challenged folks who don't think their shit stinks and will jump on whatever current training bandwagon may make them a buck. I.e. I'm not a big fan. This spam just reinforced that opinion. Anyone who's hung around the Open Source community long enough to actually understand it well enough to teach it should know better than to pull a list like ours, de-obfuscate it and blast out a message.
