Nobody has suggested that it be erased. The only suggestion has been that it follow the same rules as every other unsupported build, and maybe change to a less confusing name. It was an exception early on, but several things about the situation have changed: The fact that it has been updated with more patches, and the fact that we now have a guideline for unsupported builds.
It won't disappear, and in fact it goes to a place where more people can more easily find it. All you have to do is get someplace to store the file, and create a forum topic in the unsupported builds forums (please read the guidelines before you do) with all, or however much, of the content from the wiki page and you're done. No more than five minutes work and you're in line with the new system, and in a place where an Archos user searching for an alternative build is much more likely to find you.
