I fully agree that absolute point mode needs to be the default, and soon.
What I haven't found clear from the thread, but is apparently the case, is
that Jonathan and Paul are arguing for the following to happen:
1. Absolute Point mode is the default.
2. Screens which have not yet been adapted to absolute point mode revert
to Grid mode with a visual cue (an overlaid 1 or 2px grid, maybe a splash)
This seems reasonable to me. What do you say, Martin?
