Hi Dave, Here is what I did: 1. Fired up a browser, logged into Roller, went to the main menu. 2. Opened one of my blogs. Rte editor showed up as it should have. 3. Went to preferences and selected my applet editor, saved then clicked Create&Edit. 4. When the page reloaded I got the initial error described in the bug. It was really late, I could not sniff around, no obvious entries in the logs. 5. The next morning when clicking on the url for this blog the exception screen popped up. Logs showed invalid url. Then I looked into the database as reported in the bug, records from tables were missing making the blog look like it was not there. Blog data is still there, but table entries making the url work are missing. The bug has details.
I did this 4 times, breaking 4 <inconsequential> blogs. The applet editor works perfectly in the remaining two production blogs that I dare not mess with. I'll try to reproduce it again tonight. Yes, disappearing weblogs is an incredibly serious problem but I cannot reproduce the behavior and nobody else has reported it. We have had the 2.1/2.2 code base in production for months now. Steps to reproduce would be extremely useful As far as I know, the only way to remove a blog from Roller is via the Remove Weblog button at the bottom of the Weblog Settings page under the big red warning. If you accidentally deleted a weblog in that way, all entries, categories and other items associated with that release would have been deleted too. Can you tell if that is the case? - Dave
