<FLAME>
Let's start off by addressing your "ONLY" benefits to QM
These features include (but are not limited to):
OLC 1.81
Lope's Color v2
Erwin's Copyover v?
Erwin's Noteboard System
there is also a stripped down set of areas available for quickmud as well
-- quickmud.tar.gz
-- areas-qm-stripped.tgz
These are the ones for just the Stipped Down Starter Verion. You fail
to mention that there are also a few other versions that are also out there.
QuickMUD with Ammaross' Unlimited Bitsystem
with an Unlimited Bitsystem Area's File
-- quickmud-bits.tgz
-- areas-bits-stripped.tgz
There is also one for the Window's users
QuickMUD + Unlimited Bitsystem ported to Windows. Comes complete with a project
workspace and everything.
-- quickmud-bits-win32.zip
Yes, I will admit there isn't a lot installed with QuickMUD, but it is used as a
starting point for many muds due to the fact that it doe take time to get OLC,
Color, Copyover, and Noteboards
installed, and also the Version with the Unlimited Bitsystem (which happens to
be the most popular downloaded
version) takes quite a bit of time to convert everything over. So, in closing,
you need to think before you go knocking
something that some people have worked on to help out others.
