Hiya,

Just wondered if anyone has had any experience with discrepancies
between what works in Cygwin and what works on a Unix server.

I've been putting together some code, and I use Cygwin on WinXp for
compilation and testing. This works fine. Once testing here I upload to
a Unix server and up until now have had no problems with this.

But, I've just added in the CmdEdit snippet (by Davion) and now it would
appear there are some incompatibilities.

It all went smoothly here and compiles well and works fine. But, when I
upload the same files to the server something gets messed up. On the
server it compiles the same as here in Cygwin, and the mud boots up fine
with no warnings/bugs.

I then connect, see the standard 'Sock.sinaddr' message in the log.
I type in my name, and as soon as I press enter the mud dies with a
Segmentation Fault.

This happens with any current immortal/player, and even with creating a
new character.

I am using the most up to date version of cygwin (and all its
components).

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
