Hey everyone, ok im currently adding stuff for my rooms, anywho i
started up and got
*****] BUG: Alloc_perm: 200108 too large
Now, looking at db.c, i see its trying to allocate perm memory for the
room data, which is
capped at 131k (actual 131072) (i belive its in kilobytes, this is new
territory for me)
Granted I can just increase it to whatever, but my question is this..
A) What size is that number in exactly? (Kilobytes, bites, megs, etc)
B) What side effects can I expect to see by increasing this value?
Im assuming an overall larger memory usage..
But im also seeing this value called by all
mobiles/objects/area/rooms, so
if i increase this, wouldnt it exponatily increase every instance of
obj/mob/room in the
game by that value?
Anywho I just want to see your thoughts on this, im going to increase it
to match up with the
highest error value, but im unsure completely of the conquences of this
action.
