Just in case, tried connecting Pidgin to uncensored.citadel.org with my user account.
Exactly same result: invalid response from server due to incomplete JID.
Well, almost exactly same result: only difference is, instead of just rejecting uncensored's TLS certificate, Pidgin asks whether I want to accept it because it's expired.
