I suscribed to the jack mailing list since this is the place I am having trouble. I found one comment on the gentoo forums that stated a lot of the motherboard sound chipsets are not meant for realtime professional sound. So I will post my system specs and problem to the jack mailing list and see what turns up. Thanks. Stephen
