Just to be a contrarian, I've run Rosegarden networked on more than one
occasion. There are some issues that I still have an ancient outstanding
feature request to address which make it difficult or impossible for two
users on the same server to run it simultaneously (I've forgotten the
details), but it certainly did work acceptably fast without having to make
any particular sacrifices to account for the network. (I'm talking about a
LAN, obviously. Going over the internet would be an entirely different ball
of wax.)

Fortunately for you guys, I've never figured out how to get my X terminals
working again since I went down to just one NIC. I can't get the firewall
rules right, and I'd rather cripple my LAN than leave myself exposed to some
nastiness inadvertently. My kids hardly ever used their terminals anyway,
since they have hella fast access at school, and 500 K/sec is "too slow,
Daddy, too slow." (Ah, kids have it so easy these days.)

As such, I'm never going to test and point out how much worse RG over the net
is after this change, so you can safely ignore me.
