Then rg-lilypondview could do its usual preprocessing (if appropriate) and
progress-bar-ing, and instead of launching the PDF viewer, launch
kprinter.
Ok. I'll make a patch soon.
That would be nice. I'd forgotten about kprinter, if I ever knew of it. It
does add yet another perceived KDE dependency of course... although
technically I guess it _removes_ a KDE dependency from Rosegarden, since
kprinter could be replaced with some other program, while the KDE print
service operating directly from Rosegarden could not. So it perhaps even
hastens the GTK2 port!

I would also vote for using portable tools. Preferably only portable tools.
