When I build with the normal makefile, I'm still pretty much stuck in the same
place I've been stuck since the beginning, with it dying at around 35%
complete.

When I use the old script that builds with qt4-makefile and compiles crude
statistics, I wind up with:

How many files compiled as of revision 9507 ?
Total source files: 578
Compiled obj. files: 548
Percent compiled: 94
Total errors: 355

94%!

The errors I'm getting from top to bottom and in general are:

KCmndLine-related
KAboutData-related
Transport-related (tons of transport-related errors--I guess it's time to do
something about the transport dialog now; either fix the Designer-based
dialog so it works, or rewrite it. We chose rewriting it originally, but at
this point, whatever works will be fine, if it's possible to tweak it more
easily than rewriting it, let's tweak it. If it's 50/50, let's rewrite it.)
KXMLGUIFactory-related
KStartupLogo-related (didn't we disable that in the normal CMake build system
anyway?)

The rest looks like a pile of random Qt4 miscellany. A missing cast here, a
minor rewrite there.

It all sure does look a lot more hopeful than the last time I tried to build
the port!
