We'll want to keep the splash in some form, but we can go ahead and decide to 
dump the KAboutData stuff right now.  In some version of main.cpp I never 
committed for whatever reason, I already did just that.  It's really annoying 
to keep track of that, and I'd love to get rid of it no matter whether we 
become pure Qt4 or stay a hybrid.

One would think, surely!

But yeah, anyway, we'll have to solve it somehow or other without modifying 
the Qt headers.  That would never fly.  I can hear the distro package 
maintainers screaming now.
