Yes, that is the case for some folks.  It might be for you.  Some hardware 
accepts these controller values and some do not.  It may also be a 
setup/connection issue. We just had a big discussion about similar issues with 
another user on the user list.

We verified with multiple methods that RG was indeed sending these controller 
events.  So most likely, the lack of response is on your end--either a hardware 
issue, or a setup issue.  I'm not qualified to help with either.

I got my little sound thing running and am happy, but don't know enough to help 
other's troubleshoot.

If you are interested, it might be worth investigating.  But if you aren't 
using them, then I wouldn't worry about it.  I wish I had a more helpful answer 
for you.
