Concerning your screen shot:
I just drew multiple lines of controllers for the volume controller and got the
same result as your screen shot.
I tried this on an old RG 1.6.1. It was only thing immediately available. I
have to admit the certainly looks odd--your screen shot and mine.
When I closed that segment and reopened it, the event bars were no longer shown
as in your screen shot, but were interleaved which made more visual sense.
So, my answer is yes, what you see is correct, but misleading, since the left
hand side of the bar for each event depicts the time the event occurs and it is
in effect until another event is transmitted.
Looking at your screen shot, since you have two overlapping lines of
controllers, they are iterated from left to right using the left hand side of
the bar as a guide.
The visual is misleading though, since the width of the bar is not truly
representing a duration.
