I think you'll find the gnarly build stuff isn't that bad now.  We have a 
build system put together by people who are terrible with and hate writing 
build systems.  I find it's the most refreshingly direct and straightforward 
build system I've ever worked with, myself.

Sounds workable to me, plus it would likely encourage me to play around with 
the thing for myself.  I had some notions years ago for more plebian 
applications of this technology, but the last time I tried to do anything with 
your branch, it was hopeless to build.  I really don't know how you've managed 
it.
